Our story

Shane Reiser, a college placement consultant,  is an expert in the world of junior and collegiate golf.

As a competitive athlete in multiple sports and a Senior Certified David Leadbetter/IMG Academy Golf Instructor (1998-2015), Shane has developed and shaped countless junior golfers into successful collegiate, amateur and professional  players.  Shane has placed over 600 student athletes into Universities across the United States. With his positive mind-set and ability to connect with his students, success is contagious.

Having coached and mentored junior golfers for over 22 Years, Shane has developed a process that works and achieves results.  He will assist in forming a game plan that is critical to every student-athlete’s development, from competition strategy to communication skills.  What sets him apart is his ability to make players better and believe their own abilities and dreams.

Originally from the small town of Turpin, Oklahoma, Shane understands the desire and hard work it takes to achieve a dream.

Shane recognizes the responsibility to foster a winning attitude in students.  “I make sure my students know that they are never really as far away as they think they may be.”

Tracy Reiser, of Preferred College Advising, is a leading expert in the world of junior golf. Tracy has spent the last 27 years as a coach, a mentor, a program consultant and a director at a leading sports academy in the US.

Tracy grew up in the game. She is a 4-time AJGA champion, 2- time Rolex All-American and a 4 year letterman and Academic All-SEC member while at the University of Alabama, Tracy brings an unique perspective into her coaching and teaching.

After graduating from Alabama, Tracy joined David Leadbetter and became a trainee in his growing stable of golf instructors.  She started her training under David and his senior staff at the Lake Nona Golf Course in Orlando, Fl and in the summer of 1995, was asked to take part in the newly formed DLGA Junior Academy in Bradenton, FL (now known as IMG Academy).  It was during this summer, she realized the potential in growing the game and sharing her love of the game!

Alongside, Gary Gilchrist and a few other young instructors, they each saw the potential in what a Junior golf academy could offer the golf world. This was a new concept and as a team, embraced the idea that they could be the pioneers in changing junior golf instruction and training.

In the fall of 1995 they started with 4-6 academy students and within 10 years (with lots of development in training philosophies, travel around the world promoting the academy, and quick international success of their golfers) the academy grew to 210 students!

In 2005, she was appointed the Assistant Director role and worked tirelessly along side David Whelan to continue to offer the best in junior golf programming and training in the world.

Since the beginning, Tracy has had the opportunity to work alongside, teach, develop programming and tournaments plans for the likes of Jessica Korda, Nelly Korda, Virada Nirapathpongporn,  Cheng Tsung Pan, Jaravee Boonchant and Ye Lei.

Tracy has had the distinguished honor to teach numerous superstars, but also students who are now Doctors, teachers and scientists leading their fields in research.

So with over two decades of teaching, Tracy has been part of developing a holistic approach to training that sets up a young person for success both on and off the golf course.

Tracy enjoys sharing her passion for the game.  “I love being part of the preparation in ones game.  It’s this part of the game that can lead to the greatest opportunities”.
